Can I Have Two Last Names?

I want to add another name to my last name. can i do that without being married? or do i have to be married?

You can have any name you want! But I think the best names for us are those chosen by our parents. :)

ya if you want to two last name you can named nick name of you as you like.

Some people take their mother's maiden name and use it for a middle name or

add it to your last name.If you have any legal documents or bank accounts or

social security no. you would have to change it legally if it is a new last name.

You could, but you would need to do it legally or you couldn't be identified properly, as your most valuable identification is your social insurance number and your driver's license (if you have one).

Both of those would need a legal change.

All of the paper work and cost might not be worth it.

Some couples do join surnames, often with a hyphen.But as a single you too can be known by whatever name you chose.Just make sure you are consistent whern signing legal documents.
