Im considering buying a 2000 corolla for 1000 but im skeptical about the 132k miles on it. Is that bad?Help!!!?
as a girl in a family of car loving boys, I have always heard that Toyota engines last til Armageddon. As long as the car is maintained well and driven appropriately, you should be great on the engine end, so mileage isnt really a problem. One thing though, because Toyota is a foreign vehicle, the repairs are more expensive if something goes bad. You are looking at a 12 year old car, which will eventually have some issues...but if it runs well, I say for $1000 its a deal. Try to take it to a mechanic before you buy it tho, so they can check out the big stuff like leaky engine or things like that. A lot of places will do it at no or little cost. Good luck!!!
what do you want for 1000 dollars?a brand new car? its not going to happen. If the car was in good condition you should have bought it. The next guy behind you probably already did I suggest you get more familiar with cost versus mileage. expecting a low miles car for under 3 grand is not going to happen. toyota nissan and honda have been known to go 300 thousand or more miles with tune ups and oil changes.I priced a 2000 corolla with that mileage and you should have bought that car instantly if it was in good running shape.
clean retail on that car was 5,700 dollars I don't know why you are not checking price guides that was a steal of a deal that you likely missed out on better luck next time you need to also check price guides this did not have to happen www.nada.com is a good place to check and find out what is a high price and what is a low price so at least you will know a deal next time when you find one.
