Why would industrialization contribute to cooling of the climate?
i thought industrialization would mean the increased contribution of GHG gases and thus contribute to heating instead of cooling
The increase in greenhouse gases which have contributed to the increase in global warming/climate change started with the industrial revolution. Many early industries burned coal for their heating and firing processes, which is really the greatest contributor of GHG of all fossil fuels.
Industry brought us the auto which is one of the modern day culprits gassing our atmosphere.
I don't know where you got the idea industrialization is equated with global cooling, but whoever said that is a total dodo
Heating of course makes more sense than cooling. (Although note that the real issue is the associated changes and disruptions (to oceans, to ice caps, to weather) not a few degrees change in average global temps, up or down).
Your question may be indirectly referring to the anti-science denier fable about widespread predictions of "global cooling" in the 1970s. See skepticalscience.com for science-based debunkings of such fossil fuel industry lies and deceptions.
Human activity does not affect global cooling OR warming.
The Earth goes through constant climate change cycles and has done so throughout its history. The exact mechanism is not well understood but appears to be related to solar activity and not human activity.Note that the Earth is apparently at the end of the current warming cycle and should begin cooling soon (“soon” in geological terms) AND the current trend is not as hot as warming trends when there were > zero
The theory says that humans contribute enough carbon to dramatically increase the green house effect. This assertion is clearly ridiculous. However in a natural event heating leads to melting of freshwater glaciers. These glaciers mix with the underwater conveyer belt to disrupt heat distribution or the whole world. Global warming results in an ice age and humans can't do anything to stop the force of nature
